New Music: Much Anticipated KO Kid.

He's back. KO kid has dropped a new track called, Momma's Boy. If you're familiar with Chromeo, you'll recognize the track. This is off of KO's upcoming mixtape, entitled Chromeostasis, which will feature additional tracks that are Chromeo mashups. Any of y'all readers listen to the Kid?? I would love to hear some thoughts!

Ride Tonight.

New track from K.O Kid. Footage from the (sold out) show at Cat's Cradle o where he opened for Chiddy Bang.

On a personal note, it was wonderful to see him FINALLY perform live.... Super dope concert.
He works with Paul (Ladro) and Taylor, as well as his DJ, Simms and a drummer, Reed Benjamin who all vibed so well together. Anyways.... check out the kid on twitter and facebook and all the other social media.... just google that KOKidNC.

I literally can't stop listening to this song... and I swear, it's not because I'm biased! hahaha

Wiz Khalifa. Never Been

7/14/2010: Chiddy Bang Concert.

Tonight I'm going to Brooklyn for a Chiddy Bang Concert. K. Beau has quickly established herself as my concert-mate of the summer, we've been to Alice Smith, Kooley High, Curren$y (twice) and now Chiddy Bang. There are some other dope shows coming up that I can't wait for.

Oh, and.... KO Kid is opening for Chiddy Bang in NC in August, so you know, I can't help myself. haha. Hopefully more pictures from the show!

Soundtrack to My Life: Pursuit of Happiness.

Ya'll I'm back. I wasn't even sure if this return would happen because my job is crazy right now and I'm doing 12 hour days and getting 5 hours of sleep--- but this is honestly the best time of my life.

I'll hit ya'll with the updater later on, but I was actually inspired to return to SitC (you like that abbrev, don't you?) Because of my boo, Kid Cudi. It's no secret I like him, his music, his whole steez. So, tonight I was checking his blog out and he had posted this amazing cover of his song (any one from my current top 10) Pursuit of Happiness.

People Told Me Slow My Roll I’m Screaming Out Fuck Thaat
Imma Do Just What I Want Lookin’ Ahead No Turnin’ Back

The lyrics..... I die for you, Cudi. Just. Die.

This girl is called Lissie. I don't know anything else about her, except I need to see her. live.

And, you should check out the original. The song is the illest, the video is dope, & MGMT and Ratatat are on the track so, you know....

May 27th 2010.

There is a God. This sequel is going to be de.vine.

Rude Boy.

This has been an interesting period for me and music lately. There are artist I used to hate that I now love. The short list:

• Alicia Keys

• Rihanna

• Beyonce

Well, I believe in second chances, and I'd like to say... this Rihanna post Chris Brown is a boss. I have been all about her recent singles (Hard, Russian Roulette,) but Rude Boy.... Kills. It. and also, thank you, Rihanna for the video:

I knew We Were on to Something.

I knew Tie-Dye was coming back, dammit.

Look at your girl martha (along with amazing designers,  Jack McCullough and Lazaro Hernandez from Proenza Schouler) doing some sort of neo-tie-dying technique (K.Beau... take note... we have Sunday Crafts to plan!)

Gen Art Movie Premiere.

On Friday night, K. beau, Kim, and I are going to a movie premiere! GenArt holds the 7 night event in various cities, and New York City's starts this week.

The film we are seeing is  Elektra Luxx. It looks pretty good, with some legit actors and actresses (Alicia Silverstone (Cher from Clueless) , Emmanuelle Chirqu ( Sloan from Entourage, Justin Kirk (Andy from Weeds). And I'm really excited.

Even better, the movie ticket for the premiere also includes a subscription to NYmag, plus entree and open bar for the after party. On Friday night it will be at Hudson Terrace. I'll be sure to take a million pictures!

Wiz Khalifa Concert, 3/26/10.

I love Wiz Khalifa. He's a rapper in the same category as Kid Cudi, Wale, Curren$y, and some other hot, more under ground wonders.
The concert was amazing, and the Venue (Fillmore--17 Irving Plaza) was like a mix 'between Cat's Cradle in Chapel Hill and an opera house.
If you don't know Wiz Kalifa, check him out, this is one of my favorite songs.

Some other shows coming up there that I'm ticket shopping for:

Wale-- 3/31
Bone Thugs-- 4/6
Lupe Fiasco-- 4/10 & 4/11
Snoop-- 4/20
N.E.R.D-- 4/28

Chloe-- March 26 2010

Get Him To The Greek-- Summer 2010

Diddy seems to have a great role in this movie, and I love that Russell Brand is bring back his character from Forgetting Sarah Marshall

Glitter in the Air.

This is Pink performing 'Glitter in the Air' at the Grammys. Never mind the obvious talent she has to be able to sing while doing the acrobatics.... this song is amazing. I'm so obsessed with it right now. I cannot stop playing it. like this is worse than my Alicia Keys OD earlier in the year.

Yall. I have some insane shit to share, and I am honoring requests (Akili, I got your tweets) .... I'll get to typing, promise.
